Meeting March 8

MARCH 8TH MEETING REPORT

SONIC's March meeting was held on Thursday, March 8th at the Cranston Public Library. This meeting was a special public forum which brought together many services and support groups in Rhode Island.

The meeting topic was "Deafness/ Hearing Loss - What's In It For Me or My Child." Each speaker gave a brief description of what their group offered for the deaf and hard of hearing community.

The meeting concluded with a question and answer period which was enjoyed by the audience and participants as well. Much thanks goes to each of the participants for a wonderful and informative evening.

The next SONIC meeting will be held at the Cranston Public Library on May 10th. The guest speaker will be Dr Brian Duff who is Rhode Island's only Cochlear Implant Surgeon.
